Medaica offers virtual auscultation exams that allow qualified clinicians to remotely acquire, review, and discuss heart and lung sounds collected during your exam, without requiring an in-person clinic visit.
Please take a moment to read the information below. A clinician will confirm your consent verbally at the start of your exam.
What Is a Virtual Auscultation Exam?
A virtual auscultation exam allows a clinician to assess heart and lung sounds (auscultation) that are captured using an FDA-cleared digital sensor and shared securely during a remote visit.
Instead of listening in person with a traditional stethoscope, the clinician reviews and interprets these sounds remotely and discusses the findings with you.
How Your Virtual Exam Works
During your exam, a qualified healthcare technician may:
-
Guide or review the collection of heart and/or lung sounds
-
Monitor or review live or recorded auscultation sounds remotely
-
Help ensure the exam is completed properly and answer questions about the exam process
Following the exam, a qualified clinician will review the exam data and provide any findings or next steps, as appropriate.
